Lapis Lazuli

Here we go! It took me a lot more than I expected, I hadn't planned to go so far with this piece. And when I say far, make so many changes to the original sketch. 

This was made as part of an Art Trade with the most enthusiastic deviant I've ever had the pleasure to meet, on the internet, that is. Meet ! I asked her some days ago, after seeing the cool drawings she makes, if she would like to trade art with me and she said yesss aaand challenged me to paint Lapis from Steven Universe. And boy, it was a challenge! I love the character, but haven't watched the 3rd season, so I don't know how she develops, but I'm sure she likes cats. So I painted Lion, in a smaller, cat-form, sitting proudly on her shoulder and, I bet, purring. The background was inspired by the amazing backgrounds from the cartoon itself.
